Many a Fender fan would love to get their hands on a real 1958 Jazzmaster, even if (or maybe especially if) it shows its age. With the Custom Shop Closet Classic in Faded 2-Color Sunburst, you'll get the next best thing. However, it's a limited edition model, so act quickly if you want to enjoy its 9.5" fretboard radius, bone string nut and RSD bridge! The latter was specially developed by the Fender Custom Shop's Research and Development division. With a 1962 C profile and 6105 medium jumbo frets on a quartersawn maple neck, this Jazzmaster provides the charm and feel of a true 1958 model combined with that famous Custom Shop quality.
The Custom Shop Jazzmaster in Faded 2-Color Sunburst features pickups that are entirely hand-wound, and based on the famous single-coils that were used when this legendary guitar was first introduced. Besides these pickups, the classic lead and rhythm circuit was also used, resulting in a rich sound with impressive tonal versatility. This limited edition solid-body guitar from Fender's Custom Shop comes with a case, a certificate of authenticity and a Limited Edition neck plate with four bolts.
Fender used the 1958 Jazzmaster as its inspiration for these Limited Edition solid-body guitars. While an original '58 model is absolutely priceless, the master luthiers in Corona, California have made an instrument with the same charm and feel, but one that's well within reach for most of us. They've used the specs from the first Jazzmasters from the late '50s as a base, and added a few upgrades and modern touches here and there. Of course, the Custom Shop spared no expense to make sure you get that true Closet Classic feel. As such, this guitar offers a tasteful, timeless look, sublime build quality and an entirely vintage-correct sound.
